PHONE TREE

PHONE TREE

Our Phone Tree was compiled by King Lion Russ Moore last year when he was First Vice President.  Our Phone Tree is needed because not all members have Internet connections or e mail but all have a phone.

The Phone Tree will be used to alert all Butler Lions Club member to important club news that the members must be made aware of immediately.  Some examples would be a meeting or event canceled,  the death of a member, a member in the hospital and many other things that will come up through out the year.

To start the phone tree whoever has the information call the King Lion with the message to be passed.  The King Lion will then call the first person on the club roster which as of now is Lion Neil Ashbaugh.  Lion Neil will call the next in line which would be Lion Bob Baron and etc down the line.

The list is the official club roster that our Secretary prints update and passes out at different time through out the Lion year.

The phone tree should work like so… When you are called you call the next person on the list… if they are not home you leave a message and call the next person until you get to talk to an actual person… I think some of us that work should put out work number or cell phone number on the phone tree so that members can be contacted… some people do not go home before a meeting or event so we would not get the message if it was canceled.  (if you got a message you do not need to call anyone because the person that called you should have called the next person on the list until they actually talked to someone)

So it is not necessary to actually talk to a member but leaving a message is OK.  But remember if you leave a message you must continue down the list until you actually talk to a member.  Then he continues the calls.
