     The BROOM AND BAG SALE held september 10-13 resulted in over $2200 in sales, thanks to the following Lions for coming out and selling:  Gary Miller, Larry Parisi, and Mike Winkler (all four nights); Larry Jacks (3 nights); Joe DiTullio and Bill Hetrick (2 nights); Dick Schwab, Tom Faller, Dan Marshall, Bob Noah, John Hertzog, John Houston, Larry Nulph, Dean Jones and Don McCandless (1 night).

     AWARDS NIGHT held on October 2 was very well attended.  Congratulations to all the award winners!

     LIONS RECEIVING PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARDS: (2 years); Lascuola: (3 years); G. Miller:  (8 years); Faller and George: (10 years); McCandless; (11 years); S.      MELVING JONES FELLOWSHIP:  will be presented at a later date.

     AN APPRECIATION AWARD was presented to Lion Don Gibala to recognize his many years as chairman of our participation in the PA Adopt-A-Highway Program.

November Dates

06,  6:30 Meeting #1, at the Blind Association.  A Slippery Rock University Retirement Education Program.  Toastmasters, for the Blind Association, is pending.

10,  Happy Birthday Lion Don Gibala.

11,  Happy Birthday Lion Rick Bonnett.

20,  6:30 Meeting #2, at the Blind Association.  The program pending for meeting # 1 could be pending here.

23,  10:00 AM, Butler's Spirit of Christmas Parade.

26,  Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Marks from Noon to 6:00.

27,  6:30, Board Meeting at the Blind Association.

28, Happy Birthday Lion John Hertzog.

Dec. 4, 6:30 PM,  Meeting #1 At the Blind Association:  Luke Fritz of the Farm Service Agency in Butler County will talk on the subject "The Agriculture Industry in Butler County" (courtesy of Lion Don McCAndless).
