BOARD MEETINGS after meetings

2007 DECEMBER

Notes:

Consideration is being given to having a similar program as in the first meeting of November but providing old club members a chance to talk about themselves within a 2 minute range.  Pass any comments along to Lion Joe Smith, our Program Chairperson.

Your will find an application form for the Melvin Jone Award wrapped into the Tail.  If an application we submit is accepted, our club receives good credit.  Naming a Lion on an application is great, but a non Lion can also be named.  Give any names you suggest to King Lion Steve or Secretary Dean Jones.

November Dates

23, Butler Spirit of Christmas Parade.   We will have our float in the parade and we would like all members to walk with the float.  Parade walkers should be forming up in the area around North Main St., a block or two north of Penn Street and before the starting time of 10:00.

26,  Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Marks from noon to 6.

27,  Board Meeting at the Blind Association

December Dates

02, Happy Birthday Lion Russell Moore

04, 6:30 PM, Meeting #1, (now called a Membership Meeting).  All members should bring a boxed cake mix.  For this meeting's program, Lion Don McCandless will introduce Luke Fritz of the Farm Service Agency in Butler County who will talk on the subject "The Agriculture Industry in Butler County", it's second major industry.

08, Christmas Tree sales start.

17,  Happy Birthday Lion John Schofield

18,  6:30, Membership Meeting #2, at the Garden Gate restaurant will be Our Annual Christmas Party.  If you have not made your reservations via the sign up sheet, call King Lion Steve or Lion George Bonnett to make reservations.  Be sure to bring your "white elephant", gifts for the traditional exchange.  The dinner cost will be $10 per person.

25, There will be no Board Meeting because of the holiday.

Dates beyond December

Jan 1, 2008, Happy New Year!  There will be no meeting because of the holiday.

Jan 15, 6:30 PM, A Regular meeting (now called a Membership Meeting) will be at the Blind Association.  A Board Meeting will follow.
