For Blind   Alameda Park LIONS SHELTER BOARD MEETINGS 4th Tue.   BOARD MEETINGS after meetings 2008 MAY Notes      NOTICE:  Dues are now due for the Lions Year 2008-2009.  Please get your DUE to Treasurer Lion Tom Faller.  Regular membership are still $60.      We extend our condolences to Lion DiTillio on the passing of his brother.      Board Actions:  Approved the following donations: $100 Beacon Lodge Challenge XII; $100 T-shirt sponsor Blind Association Walk-A-Thon;  Approved Payment for $1279 for eye exams/eyeglasses for 8 low income individuals.         April Dates 15,  Membership meeting #2 will be held at the Blind Assoc.  The Program will be --. 19,  First session of Adopt A-Highway for 208. 22,  Board Meeting at the Blind Association. 25-27,  Beacon Lodge work weekend.  Contact Lion Dan Marshall for details. 26,  9:00 AM,  Christie Avenue Playground clean-up-day.  This will be a day of cleaning up the Park and prepping the area for the new playground equipment.  Lions please report to the Park and bring and tools and supplies you might have to help clean up.  Contact Lion Joe Smith with any questions. May Dates 06,  Membership meeting #1, election of Officers.  The Program will be:  The Butler Memorial Sleep Study Program. 10,  New officers training.  More information will come. 11,  Mothers Day. 15-18,  State Convention at Meadowlands Holliday Inn, Washington, PA. 17,  Butler County Master Gardeners Spring Market at the Succop Conservancy.  We will be selling brooms and bags. 20,  Membership meeting #2 at the Blind Assoc. 27,  Board Meeting. June Dates 03,  Membership meeting #1 at Alameda Park. 07,  second session of ADOPT-A-HighWAY. 09 - 12,  Broom and bag sale. 17,  Membership meeting #2 the Atrium.  This will be Law Appreciation Night.
