For Blind   Alameda Park LIONS SHELTER BOARD MEETINGS 4th Tue.   BOARD MEETINGS after meetings 2008 JULY Notes      Broom & Bag Sale Dates are June 17, 18, 19, 23 & 25.  We have a new supplier for brooms and they are much imporved over those we had at our sale.  Lets have a good turn out and make this the biggest sale yet.      Beacon Lodge will hold their Annual PA Lions Appreciation Day on July 20, 2008.  Lions and their families are invited to attend.  A chicken barbecue dinner with all the fixings will be served at a cost of $8.00.  There will be a program in the afternoon presented by the campers.  Reservations must be made by July 8th.  If you are interested see Lion Dean Jones for details.      VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services To Humanity) is a group of oththalmologists, optometrists, & volunteers that travel to Guatemala and Hati to provice training, free vision screening, and surgeries.  Our club recently donated $209 to cover the cost of one cataract operation.      28 club members enjoyed the plant tour at the Oberg Industries Co. in May.      The Club recycled 1 pair of eye glasses in May.      CLUB DUES in the AMOUNT of $60 ARE DUE THIS MONTH.  If you are not able to attend a meeting this month please send your dues to Treasurer Lion Tom Faller at Box 115, Chicora, PA 16025.   June Dates      16,  6:30 PM Monday, Membership Meeting #2 and Law Appreciation Banquet at the American Legion Post 117, 413 S.
