RECYCLE ALUMINUM CANS
Lion Don McCandless is in charge of a new fund raiser to recycle aluminum cans for cash. The money raised will be use for Butler Lions Club charities.
The club now sorts the aluminum cans from the trash we pick up on highway clean-up and recycles them.
The Butler Blind Association is now collecting for the project.
Lion Don is asking anyone who wishes to donated cans contact him for pickup information.

At our last membership meeting on November 17, 2009 Lion Don McCandless report that he took the aluminum that was collected to the re-cycle center and sold it for aprox. $40.00. Lion Don gave the money to Lions Club Treasurer.
Lion Don is also accepting any aluminum of any kind, old sideing, old aluminum window frames, wire, etc.
Lion Don announced at the April 5th, 2011 meeting that he has taken a load of aluminum to the recycle center and was paid $43.00 for it. The money was turned over to our club treasurer. Lion Don recognized Lions Terry Stackhouse and Guy Travaglio as the top collectors for this period.
