Deficit: In Addition to those noted above, we continue to support worthy causes and help others through Campaign Sight First, District Governor’s projects, VIP Sports, donations to the Blind Association and so on. This past Lions year (2009-2010) we spent more than we took in. I don’t have the official figures but I will estimate it will be well over $2000. Fortunately, we had some funds in reserve. We can’t continue to operate in a deficit (as it is illegal for us to print money). We all joined Lions so we can help others. We can’t help others without making money and to make money we must have fundraisers. It is no secret that our fundraisers did not make the money they have in years past. We need to rededicate ourselves to participate actively in our fundraisers and continue to look at new ways to raise money. Lion Mike (Wink)
